- You are in control. Delete any document, or uninstall the app, to remove everything it stored.
Effective 9 October 2026. This policy covers the Stash-it! app for Android (package com.tekhnologia.stashit).
1. Who we are
Stash-it! is published by Tekhnologia Innovations (“we”, “us”), based in Maharashtra, India. For any question about privacy, write to tekhnologiaindia@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. Stash-it! does not require an account, does not ask for your contact details, and does not send your content to us or to any third party. We have no server that stores user data.
3. Information stored on your phone
To work, Stash-it! keeps the following only on your phone, inside the app’s private storage: the documents, photos, scans, notes and voice notes you add; text read from them so you can search; your folders, reminders and settings; small preview images; and, if you set a PIN, a salted one-way hash of it (never the PIN itself). If you choose a sync or backup folder, copies are written to the folder you pick.
4. Permissions and why we ask
- Camera: scanning documents and taking photos to file. Images stay on your phone.
- Microphone: recording voice notes and speaking a search. Voice notes stay on your phone. Speech-to-text is done by your phone’s own speech service; depending on your phone’s settings that service may process audio with its provider (for example Google). Stash-it! does not receive or store that audio outside your phone.
- Notifications: reminders you set for a document.
- Fingerprint or face unlock: unlocking the app if you turn the lock on. This is handled by Android; Stash-it! never receives your biometric data.
Every permission is optional and can be changed in Android Settings.
5. On-device reading and AI
Text recognition and, on phones that support it, Android’s built-in on-device AI model are used to suggest folders and titles and to answer questions about your documents. This runs on your phone. We do not send your documents or their text to any AI service.
6. Purchases (Stash coins)
Some tools use Stash coins. Free Stash is given every day; packs of Stash can be bought in the app through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never receive your payment details or Google account information. The app checks with Google Play, on your phone, which purchases have been made, and keeps your Stash balance only on your phone. Google’s handling of purchases is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Google components on the phone
Document scanning and text recognition use Google’s ML Kit and Google Play services, which run on your phone. These components may send Google limited diagnostic data and device identifiers to keep them working. Your documents and their text are never part of it.
8. Sharing
Stash-it! shares a document only when you choose Share or Save a copy, and only with the app or person you choose.
9. Children
Stash-it! is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
10. Deleting your data
Delete documents inside the app, or uninstall Stash-it!, to remove everything it stored on your phone. Because we hold no data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
